Premiering from 19th September on Zee TV, Sa Re Ga Ma Pa is set to return with a grand new season, bringing together an extraorAddingdinary lineup of musical talent, legendary judges and a larger-than-life musical experience. The grand launch event held in Mumbai on 16th September saw the show’s judges, host and Top 13 singing talents come together to celebrate the return of one of India’s most iconic singing reality shows. As the grandest musical spectacle comes to television, audiences can look forward to a season that brings together the richness, diversity and authenticity of Indian music like never before.
While Talking about the new season, Shankar Mahadevan said, “Every single state and every single region has its own distinct music. Folk music is a treasure chest of our country. Classical music is another example — ours is a country that has two forms of classical music, something you will not find anywhere else in the world. Our music is incredibly strong. I have performed with many international artists across the world, and our music finds its way into every form of music, whether it is jazz, rock, pop or anything else.
The legenday singer further added, “The Sa Re Ga Ma Pa stage is watched across the world, and what is going to be special this time is the cultural amalgamation of our country. From Kashmir to Kanyakumari, we are bringing together the various cultures of our country — whether it is Odisha, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh, the South, Kerala or any other region — in their authentic form, with artists from those particular regions, and bringing them together with our artists for fantastic collaborations on stage. When you watch it, you will be amazed.”
The grand launch press conference of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa brought together the show’s judges, host and Top 13 singing talents, setting the stage for a season that promises an expansive celebration of music and talent.
