*Romiit Raaj on working with Rupali Ganguly and the Anupamaa family: “There is so much madness, laughter and positive energy”*

Romiit Raaj has received a warm welcome from the cast of Anupamaa as he joined the show as Ranvijay. While the actor is enjoying exploring his layered character, he says the warmth and camaraderie within the Anupamaa Parivaar have made his transition to the show particularly memorable.

“The Anupamaa Parivaar is super fun — there is so much madness, laughter and positive energy on the set,” says Romiit, recalling his first day on the show. “On my very first day, everyone welcomed me so warmly that I immediately felt comfortable.”

The actor says he quickly noticed the easy camaraderie shared by the cast, including the lighter moments between scenes. From Bapu Ji cracking jokes with Prem and Banku to Baa sharing stories, Romiit says the atmosphere immediately made him feel part of the larger family.

“I genuinely enjoyed watching the entire cast together — chilling, laughing, sharing funny incidents and just having a great time with each other. There is such a lovely camaraderie between everyone, and I absolutely loved being around that energy,” he shares.

Romiit also speaks warmly about his experience of working with Rupali Ganguly, whom he has admired as an actor. “I have always admired Rupali Ganguly’s work, and getting the opportunity to share screen space with her has been a fabulous experience. She is an extremely talented actor, and I am genuinely enjoying working with her.”

One particular moment that stood out for him was during lunch, when Rupali invited him to sit with the entire team. The actor says the fact that the Anupamaa cast and crew eat together every day speaks volumes about the show’s culture.

“Everyone sits together, eats together, talks, laughs and shares those little moments. On a show that works such long hours, having that sense of togetherness makes the workplace feel like a real family,” he says.

Romiit also credits the show’s directors for helping him shape Ranvijay. He calls Romesh Kalra an “awesome” director and says he has tremendous respect for his craft. He also praises Directors Bhim and Abhay for helping him understand and build the character.

For Romiit, the experience has been about much more than joining a successful television show. It has given him the opportunity to become part of a close-knit team while exploring a challenging new character. “I think that is what makes the Anupamaa Parivaar so special — the madness, the laughter, the love and the feeling that everyone is genuinely together.”
