Jaane Anjaane Hum Mile’s Sehaj Rrajput’s recent physical assault scene performance has an Alia Bhatt’s Highway connection; Here’s how

Zee TV’s Jaane Anjaane Hum Mile, starring Bharat Ahlawwat (Raghav) and Aayushi Khurrana (Reet), has recently showcased a very sensitive and hard-hitting sequence where Unnati’s character, portrayed by Sehaj Rrajput, is physically assaulted. The scene is not only one of the high points of the show but was also an extremely challenging sequence to shoot for Sehaj Rrajput. In the episode, a scammer who has been stalking Unnati assaults her at a party. The recently aired scene highlights the deep trauma Unnati goes through following the incident. Off-screen, the sequence proved to be equally demanding for Sehaj, as this was the first time she performed such an intense scene on screen. While she was mentally prepared as an actor, portraying a physical assault did take an emotional toll on her.

Speaking about the experience, Sehaj shares, “This particular sequence was especially challenging as it involved a lot of physical action, including confronting and pushing the attacker. Our director made the entire process comfortable and helped me ease into the space. In that scene, I went completely into the zone. Performing the scene did affect me emotionally and even took a toll on me, but at the same time, I feel this is the most beautiful part of being an artist, to fully absorb and live every emotion. As an actor, the scene was extremely challenging, and I’m grateful that I got the opportunity to perform such a difficult sequence as such scenes truly tests you as an actor.”

Talking about takinginspiration for the said scene, Sehaj added , “In that sense, Alia Bhatt has been an inspiration for me. The scene from Highway where her character reveals the assault she endured for years is something I had performed during my acting classes, so I had practiced those emotions earlier. Even then, it’s very scary to even think of such situations in real life.”

Going forward, the show will depict Unnati’s vulnerable state as she struggles with panic attacks triggered by memories of the assault. How Reet and Raghav stand by her and help her cope with the trauma will be the upcoming highlight of Jaane Anjaane Hum Mile.
