Zee TV’s Jaane Anjaane Hum Mile, starring Bharat Ahlawwat (Raghav) and Aayushi Khurrana (Reet), is gearing up for an intense dose of drama as veteran actress Jayati Bhatia makes a powerful return to the show. While viewers loved to hate her earlier portrayal of Sharda, this time the actress returns in an entirely new avatar. Jayati Bhatia will now be seen playing a brand-new character named Shalini Batra.
The mystery surrounding Shalini’s character is already creating immense curiosity among viewers. Speaking about her new role, Jayati Bhatia shares: “Right now, Shalini Batra’s character is being developed. I don’t know whether she is a positive or negative character. As the story progresses, Shalini Batra will continue to grow. I do know that she has returned from London and runs an NGO and an ashram where she takes care of underprivileged children. There is definitely a backstory to Shalini, and only time will tell whether Sharda and Shalini are the same person. That’s going to be interesting.”
Talking about her return to the sets after a few weeks’ break, Jayati expressed her excitement and emotional connection with the team. The actress shares, ‘‘I missed my entire team. They constantly stayed in touch and kept asking when I would return. When I informed Bharat (Raghav) that I would soon start shooting for the show, he was like, “Oh, my aunt is back!” He sounded so happy. Even I was eager to know when my character would come back into the storyline.’’
With Shalini entering the show wrapped in mystery, it will be interesting to watch whether she brings peace or once again creates turmoil in Reet and Raghav’s lives just like Sharda once did.
