For me, fashion is an extension of who I am, and at the absolute core of that is comfort : Parakh Madan

Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2 actor Parakh Madan has always treated fashion as something deeply personal rather than a checklist of trends to follow.

She sums up her personal style with “elegant, effortless, and comfortable” and shares, “For me, fashion is an extension of who I am, and at the absolute core of that is comfort. If I don’t feel at ease in what I’m wearing, it immediately shows in how I carry myself.”

Looking back at how her relationship with fashion has changed since she entered the entertainment industry, Parakh traced it back to her formal training. She said, “Having a formal background as a fashion design graduate, my relationship with fashion was highly technical and structural.”

“The entertainment industry taught me to take everything I learned in design school and make it personal. My style evolved from appreciating the art of a garment to mastering the art of wearing it with ease,” she added.

On the broader role fashion plays in her everyday life, she explained that it goes far beyond simply staying on trend. She said, “For me, fashion isn’t just about following trends or wearing what’s popular; it’s an extension of my identity, my mood, and the different roles I step into every day. It’s about feeling entirely comfortable in my own skin, whether I’m under the arc lights of a television set or just enjoying a quiet moment of personal expression.”

When it comes to choosing between comfort, trends, or timeless elegance while dressing up, Parakh made her priorities clear. She said, “When dressing up, comfort is the foundation for me, and timeless elegance is the finish.”

Asked about the one fashion rule she lives by, she returned once again to the idea of ease over everything else. She said, “Trends come and go, but looking like you belong entirely in your own skin never goes out of style. If you are comfortable in what you wear, that ease naturally translates into a very quiet, powerful confidence. That is one basic fashion rule I always follow.” “Never let the clothes wear you,” Parakh ended.
