Revered Pandits from across India unite to bless ‘Laughter Chefs’ on the occasion of Guru Purnima

On the sacred occasion of Guru Purnima, COLORS’ Laughter Chefs Unlimited Entertainment witnessed a rare and heartwarming moment as nine of India’s most revered pandits graced the set with their presence and blessings. In a heartfelt tribute to the gurus who guide and uplift lives, the show, true to its spirit, blended chaos, comedy, and cultural reverence — creating a once-in-a-lifetime moment on Indian television.

The highlight of the episode was the Brahman Bhoj — a ceremonial feast lovingly prepared and served by the celebrity chefs to the pandits, as a mark of deep respect and devotion.

In a vibrant celebration of India’s cultural soul — where humour and tradition coexist in perfect harmony — the pandits not only blessed the occasion but also joined in with our chefs, exchanging laughter, warmth, and wit. This unique episode stood as a glowing reminder that even amidst rolling pins and punchlines, India never drifts from its spiritual roots.

Each pandit brought with him not just blessings, but a world of wisdom deeply rooted in the spiritual essence of the places they hail from. From the sacred banks of the Ganga in Kashi came Pandit Venkatesh Mishra and Pandit Krishna Acharya, custodians of timeless traditions at the revered Kashi Vishwanath temple. From Omkareshwar — a holy Jyotirlinga nestled along the Narmada — came Pandit Jayesh Dixit, whose calm and composed presence reflected the serenity of his spiritual home.

Representing Mumbai — the city where tradition and modernity thrive together — were Pandit Umesh Chandra Dube, Pandit Santosh Upadhyay, Pandit Pradeep Shukla, and Pandit Chandra Prakash Acharya Mishra, each bringing the vibrant devotional energy of Maharashtra’s rich temple culture. From the heart of Mumbai’s Ganpati fervour came Pandit Pravin Jangam, the priest of the iconic Lalbaugcha Raja, carrying with him the unwavering faith of millions.

Adding a distinctive presence was Pandit Chandrashekhar Sharma — the priest behind some of India’s most high-profile celebrity weddings, including those of the Ambani children, Rishi Sunak and Akshata Murthy, and Priyanka Chopra Jonas with Nick Jonas. Naturally, his arrival sparked a burst of light-hearted banter about shaadi rituals and celebrity weddings, once again proving that humour and tradition go hand in hand in Indian culture.

Krushna Abhishek shared,
“In all my years in entertainment, I’ve done every kind of show, but nothing prepared me for what we experienced that day on the sets of Laughter Chefs. The same floor where we crack jokes and cook in chaos suddenly felt different — sacred in its own fun way. Serving food to the pandits, sitting on the floor with folded hands, instantly took me back to childhood, watching my elders do the same during rituals at home. Of course, there were jokes too — about food, marriages, and rituals — and the pandits joined right in! That’s the beauty of our culture — where devotion and humour sit side by side without ever diluting each other. I was reminded of my own gurus, the mentors who’ve shaped not just my craft, but also my thinking. Wishing everyone a happy and blessed Guru Purnima — may we always honour those who guide us.”

Laughter Chefs Unlimited Entertainment  —  Airs on  every Saturday and Sunday at 9:30 PM, only on COLORS.
