Known for shows and projects such as MTV Fanaah, Badho Bahu, Srivalli and Bigg Boss 13, Arhaan Khan credits his father for playing a significant role in shaping him both personally and professionally. He shared that the values and lessons his father taught him continue to influence the actor he is today and the person he aspires to become.
He said, “My father has been one of my biggest inspirations and supporters. Even as a child, I used to look up to him and learn from the way he conducted himself. More than just professional advice, he taught me things about people, relationships, responsibility, and standing by your values.”
One particular period, he recalled, made those lessons feel especially real. He said, “One thing that became particularly meaningful to me was during Covid. It was a very difficult period for everyone, and my family and I, along with my father, tried to support people around us in whatever way we could, whether they were from the industry or from outside it.”
“That experience reinforced something I had already learned from him: your success means much more when you can use your position to help somebody else,” he added.
For Arhaan, mentorship isn’t limited to craft alone. He said, “So when I think about a mentor, I don’t necessarily think only about someone who teaches you acting. My father has been someone who has shaped the person I am, and that naturally reflects in the actor I am becoming.”
That same spirit of growth defines how he’s evolved as a performer over the years. He said, “I think the biggest change is that I have become much more open to learning. I genuinely believe that the more you learn, the more you earn, not just professionally, but as a person and as an artist. I am someone who enjoys learning, and I don’t think that process ever stops.”
Every project continues to teach him something new. He said, “Every character teaches you something different. Every director, co-actor, and set brings a different experience. Today, because I have worked across different formats and roles, I understand myself better as an actor, and I am also more willing to experiment.”
Beyond acting, he’s also been building out other parts of his life, something that’s added its own kind of learning. He said, “At the same time, I am involved in entrepreneurship and other ventures, so I have learned to manage different responsibilities and understand different sides of the business world as well.”
“I have also been working on multiple projects and recently been wrapping shoots, including work in Dubai. All of these experiences contribute to who I am as an actor. I don’t want to become someone who says, ‘I have learned enough. ‘ I want to keep learning with every project,” Arhaan ended.
