Astrologer Dr Y Rakhi appeared on former journalist Nidhi Vasandan’s podcast and discussed astrology, tarot, planetary influences, manifestation, and practical advice for daily life. When Nidhi asked whether tarot cards can really predict the future, Rakhi was emphatic. She said, “If you believe, then I am Ganga Maa. If you do not believe, then it is just flowing water.”
“Tarot cards can predict the future, not 100 percent but 1000 percent. The 78 tarot cards can reveal the secrets of the future. More important than the cards is the belief of the person, their questions, and their energy,” she added.
On whether destiny is decided at birth, Rakhi drew a clear distinction. She said, “Our destiny is not decided at birth. Our birth is decided. Destiny is created by us. How does a watchman become a film star? How does someone selling vada pav reach Bigg Boss? Every day, through your hard work, you write your own destiny.”
She spoke about the nature of each planet. She said, “Mars always creates battles and challenges. Mercury brings intelligence and speech. Jupiter takes you to the feet of your Guru. Venus connects you with your spouse. Saturn gives you the comfort of employees and workers, and if not, it can even take you to jail.”

Rakhi said the combination of Jupiter and Rahu, known as Guru Chandal Dosh, is the most dangerous in her view. She said, “Especially for women, Jupiter plays a very important role. If Jupiter and Rahu are badly placed in a girl’s horoscope, there can be delays in marriage, problems related to children, and emotional distress.”
She cautioned against blind faith in good yogas. She said, “I have seen horoscopes with excellent yogas, yet the person is working as a plumber and breaking walls every day. Why? Because karma is important.”
“I have seen women whose horoscopes show Jupiter with Rahu and Venus weak. Yet they are living happily in London with four children. They recite Sundarkand every day,” she added.
On manifestation, Rakhi said she believes in it deeply. She said, “If I see someone progressing, I do not become jealous. I think, wonderful. One day I can reach that level too. I connect my energy with positive energy, and things begin moving in that direction.”
She dismissed the idea of a universal lucky number or direction. She said, “People often say the south direction is bad, but look at the respect and success people achieve in South India. In Delhi, some of the most expensive areas are in the south.”
In a rapid fire round, Rakhi said lizards are auspicious, black cats are auspicious because a cat is a form of Lakshmi Maa, and owls are auspicious in every condition. When asked how someone can be happy, she said, “By making others happy. Put a smile on someone’s face. Say something kind to a broken person.”
“Wake up in the morning, thank the earth, and say, today is the best day of my life. I have received what I wanted. I love myself. Start your day like that,” Rakhi ended.
