To have Kichdi with ghee/ pakora with papad has been my staple food during monsoons : Pallavi Chaterjee

The monsoon has arrived, but much of India is still waiting for the rain. We asked actress Pallavi Chaterjee about her favourite things to do in monsoon. She says,” The entire texture,mood, feelings changes in Monsoon. It’s also great for our soul . Each City has a different character then . It’s also great for our soils and extremely important for the farmers.”

Though the actress doesn’t step out in heavy rains, she enjoys it ,”Best way to handle heavy rains is not to step out, work from home if possible. Listen to some music and do some indoor activities all day.

Her favourite monsoon song is Rimjhim Gire sawan, she says,”Any day Rimjhim Gire Sawan by RD Burman is my all time favourite. The song also depicts the Mumbai city during monsoons. When asked about her most favourite food to be consumed on a heavy rainy day she adds,”To have Kichdi with ghee/onion pakora with papad has been my staple food during monsoons. We have grown up eating that.”

The actor shares her favourite monsoon destination would be Darjeeling / Goa / Thailand.
