In line with its refreshed brand promise, Aapka Apna Zee TV, the channel is set to launch its upcoming fiction drama Ganga Mai Ki Betiyan. Featuring Shubhangi Latkar in the powerful role of Ganga Mai, the show captures the inspiring journey of a woman abandoned by her husband for not bearing a son, who chooses to raise her three daughters with strength, dignity, and compassion. Sheizaan Khan is all set to take up the role of Siddhant aka Siddhu as he joins the ensemble cast of Srishti Jain (as Sahana), Amandeep Sidhu (as Sneha), Vaishnavi Prajapati as Soni.
Siddhu, a rowdy boy from Banaras, may appear rough and intimidating, but he has a heart of gold hidden beneath that exterior. He worships his mother, treating her every wish as sacred. Though not formally educated, his wealth and role in his mother’s moneylending business give him a powerful reputation—one that makeswrongdoers fear him. In truth, Siddhu is guided by empathy and fairness. His life takes a turn when he falls in love at first sight with Sneha (Amandeep Sidhu), a bold yet kind-hearted woman whose spirit reminds him of the very strength and compassion he admires in his mother.
Speaking about his new role, Sheizaan shared, “I’m absolutely thrilled to be back on Zee TV, it truly feels like a homecoming for me because this is where I began my journey with Jodha Akbar. Playing Siddhu in Ganga Mai Ki Betiyan has been a beautiful and challenging experience. On the surface, he may look like a rowdy moneylender, but what drew me in was his innocence and the way his entire world revolves around his mother. That emotion is so pure, so real, and it gave me an instant connect. As an actor, I find it fulfilling to portray characters with contrasting shades, and Siddhu has plenty, he’s feared by people, yet he can melt in a moment of love.
